Tipton's Carbon Fiber Cleaning Rods combine the best features of stainless steel and coated cleaning rods. They will not scratch or wear on the rifle bore, they will not become bent and they will not be damaged by your cleaning solvents. The handle of the cleaning rod turns freely on two sets of ball bearings, yet the shank-through construction allows for "reasonable" hammer blows with the hand to drive the occasional tight patch through the bore.
